Property website Zoopla has revealed the UK’s hotspots when it comes to what locations are quickest to sell in the UK based on the typical length of time between a home going up for sale, and the property listing changing to “under offer”.
Northampton has been recognised as having the fastest-moving property market, with homes typically being snapped up on average 27 days. Close followed by Milton Keynes with properties in the area taking an average of 29 days to go under offer.
Zoopla spokesman, Lawrence Hall said across Britain, the average length of time between putting a home up for sale and achieving an offer is 47 days.
London commuter town Croydon, Edinburgh and Glasgow are also among Britain’s biggest property hotspots, with homes in the area taking under five weeks to secure offers.
Looking across the board, the South East of England and East of England are the regions with the shortest average length of time for properties to go under offer. With properties in Wales sitting on the market for an average of 66 days.
